I agree completely!

When I used to be in Mumbai I stopped reading TOI from 2008 onwards. HT is 1000 times better in every form.

In June 2011 I moved to Bangalore, switched to DNA for some months(around 2), but then found it boring and switched back to TOI. I see TOI Bangalore as best among the worst. Its a necessary evil so as to say.

Hope HT will hit Bangalore soon!

Hindu I found it to be very prosaic, extremely dull and insanely inclined towards political news.

Just my thoughts!

@Rushabh - I get your excitement about games. The reason this makes sense is , it is being tried on a medium that has little to no interaction.

While I agree that this model has been tried in books, movies are a complete different medium.

Come to NY sometime ... will love to rant on about this, may be your games will convince me otherwise.

@kaushal ... Thanks for the appreciation.

Well, it certainly is interesting but it wont beat the immersion produced by most games today. It will certainly engage the watcher more but not totally immerse him. You really have to experience games other than FPS to really understand what I'm saying. Most FPS games do not have a good story line save a few. You should try playing games like Assassin's creed, Bioshock, The Wicther, etc. Most RPGs give you at least 30-40 hours of gameplay content which is 10 times more than what a movie provides.

In any case, its interesting to see how this will take off. They came out with interactive books at one point but their success was only short lived after which they disappeared.
